High brightness LED is the light emitting diode light which produces very bright light over 50 lumens i.e. 4 candela. High brightness LED consumes power less than 1 Watt. LED offers many advantages over traditional lighting products such as longer lifetime, compact size, low energy consumption, enhanced physical robustness, rapid switching time etc. The global high brightness LED market is expected to rise at a CAGR of 10% during the forecast period 2016-2023. Due to the oversupply of LED products and large growth in the LED industry, the average selling price of high brightness LED has decreased. According to Consumer Reports, in India, the price of the LED bulbs have decreased to Rs 38 in 2017 which was recorded to be 55 in 2014. Therefore, the decreasing price of LED bulbs have led to the increased adoption of high brightness LED.
